Senior Backend Developer - Node.js
About The Position
We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer with strong experience in Node.js, microservices, Camunda workflows, and enterprise integrations. The role involves developing and maintaining backend services and APIs, supporting workflows and messaging integrations, and investigating complex production issues across microservices, workflows, messaging systems, APIs, databases, and external integrations. The developer will also work with existing Java/Spring Boot services and collaborate with DevOps, Infrastructure, QA, Integration, and other technical teams handling Oracle structural databases.
Requirements
- Strong experience in Node.js.
- Strong experience with microservices, Camunda workflows, and enterprise integrations.
- Strong development and production troubleshooting/problem-solving skills.
- Ability to investigate complex issues across microservices, workflows, messaging systems, APIs, and databases.
- Experience with TypeScript, REST/GraphQL APIs, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, Git/GitLab, and Java/Spring Boot, as reflected in the listed duties.
Nice To Haves
- Camunda experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services and microservices using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Develop and support REST and GraphQL APIs and system integrations.
- Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Camunda workflows.
- Investigate failed or stuck workflows, workers, incidents, and process execution issues.
- Develop and troubleshoot messaging integrations using RabbitMQ and Azure Service Bus.
- Investigate production issues across APIs, microservices, workflows, queues, databases, and external integrations.
- Perform root-cause analysis and implement permanent technical solutions.
- Work with Git/GitLab on branching, merging, cherry-picking, rebasing, conflict resolution, and release or hotfix activities.
- Understand and troubleshoot existing Java/Spring Boot services.
- Participate in code reviews, deployments, production support, and critical incident resolution.
- Collaborate with DevOps, Infrastructure, QA, Integration, and other technical teams handling Oracle structural databases.
