Senior Aviation Analyst
About The Position
The Senior Aviation Analyst researches and drafts technical and regulatory documents and reviews documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable requirements. The analyst consults on technical, legal, and regulatory aviation issues related to assigned tasks and applies knowledge across aviation areas including regulatory processes, air carrier aircraft records reviews, corporate aviation evaluations, and quality system evaluations. The role includes managing projects, monitoring project costs and schedules, conducting Internet research, and coordinating issues with Government and industry personnel. The analyst uses web information technology and associated tools to provide information in formats suitable for Government and industry personnel and the general public.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of direct aviation experience concerning flight operations.
- As appropriate, experience as a pilot with a commercial or airline transport pilot rating.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Nice To Haves
- Experience evaluating flight simulation safety data is highly desired.
- Current FAA or DOT Public Trust and FAA PIV access is highly desired.
