About The Position

Performance Driven Workforce (PDW) is hiring full-time Senior Automotive Mechanics for an automotive Tier 1 supplier. The role is based in Greer, South Carolina, and involves modifying cars and trucks in a prototype environment through diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance. Senior Automotive Mechanics also mentor and oversee team members’ technical deliverables to ensure customer standards are met. The position offers an AM day shift starting at 10:00 AM. Shifts may last up to 12 hours, Monday through Friday, with weekends as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 8 years of work experience as a mechanic.
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical assembly and ability to operate shop equipment.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to mentor and train others.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and execute written procedures.

Nice To Haves

• Certificate in Automotive Technology or a related field.
• State Mechanic Certification(s).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of vehicle alignments, air conditioning (A/C) system repairs, tire machines, and balancers.
• Ability to work overtime as needed, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vehicle functionality by following repair orders or leader instructions and conducting inspections.
• Repair mechanical and electrical system malfunctions and replace parts and components.
• Read, interpret, and follow service procedures.
• Train, coach, and mentor team members on their job responsibilities, and serve as a subject matter expert for the team and customers.
• Maintain vehicle records by entering notes, service information, and repair orders.
• Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs.
• Lead daily shop organization and clean-up.
