About The Position

Performance Driven Workforce is hiring full-time experienced Automotive Mechanics for an automotive Tier 1 supplier. In a prototype environment, mechanics modify cars and trucks and perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance. The role includes independent project tasks and collaboration with customers and team members. The position is based in Spartanburg, South Carolina, on an AM day shift: 6:00 AM–4:30 PM Monday through Friday, with weekends as needed; Saturday hours are 6:00 AM–2:30 PM. Overtime may be available.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 4 years of work experience as a mechanic.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting ability.
• Knowledge of mechanical assembly and ability to operate shop equipment.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Own tools with a rolling toolbox, and ability to work overtime and weekends.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and execute written procedures.

Nice To Haves

• Certificate in Automotive Technology or a related field.
• National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification(s).
• State Mechanic certification(s).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of vehicle alignments, air conditioning (A/C) system repairs, tire machines, and balancers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vehicle functional condition by working from repair orders or leader instructions and conducting inspections.
• Repair mechanical and electrical system malfunctions and replace parts and components.
• Read, interpret, and follow service procedures.
• Maintain vehicle records by entering notes, service, and repair orders.
• Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs.
• Participate in daily shop organization and clean-up.
