About The Position

Carvana is hiring an experienced automotive technician to perform a full range of repairs and diagnostics on vehicles at a high-tech Inspection Center. The work ranges from light maintenance to complex repairs and heavy engine work on all makes and models, including advanced electrical diagnostics and repairs on electric and hybrid vehicles. The role also includes work on wheel bearings, axles, and climate-control systems such as air conditioners and heater cores. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with overtime availability; mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. Carvana offers training programs for employees who join in entry-level positions. Applicants must pass a background check. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 3 years of professional automotive repair experience.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and lift up to 60 pounds independently.
At least 18 years of age and a valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment and sometimes be exposed to excessive heat or cold.
Ability to use safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must pass a complete background check.

Responsibilities

Perform general to complex repairs on all makes and models, including timing belts, suspension systems, and heavy engine work.
Diagnose and repair advanced vehicle electrical issues, including on electric and hybrid vehicles.
Repair wheel bearings and axles.
Repair vehicle climate-control systems, including air conditioners and heater cores.
