About The Position

Carvana is seeking an Experienced Automotive Technician to perform automotive repairs and diagnostics on vehicles at a high-tech Inspection Center. The role covers a full range of work, from light maintenance to complex repairs and heavy engine work, on all makes and models. It includes diagnosing and repairing advanced electrical issues, including on electric and hybrid vehicles, as well as wheel bearings, axles, and climate control systems. The posting advertises a $2,000–$3,000 bonus. The position may require mandatory overtime based on business needs. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check, and the role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 3 years of professional automotive repair experience.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
At least 18 years of age.
Valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Ability to work mandatory overtime based on business needs.

Responsibilities

Perform general and complex repairs on all makes and models, including timing belts, suspension systems, and heavy engine work.
Diagnose and repair advanced vehicle electrical issues, including on electric and hybrid vehicles.
Repair wheel bearings and axles.
Repair vehicle climate control systems, including air conditioning and heater cores.
Work in a fast-paced, changing production environment to help prepare vehicles for customers.
