About The Position

In a subscription model, the customer journey is the core of success. As (Senior) Automation & Retention Manager, you will automate this journey across web and app. You will build, optimize, and scale lifecycle routes from onboarding through purchase abandoner and customer recovery campaigns to targeted app push notifications, and increase retention as a key growth metric in the medium term.

Requirements

  • Proven success in marketing automation, mailing, and push, ideally in the app subscription environment.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools such as GetResponse or customer.io and analytics solutions such as Tableau, GA4, or Firebase.
  • Love for cohort analyses, retention curves, and data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to connect product development, data, tech, and marketing and translate complex data into clear strategies.
  • Good sense for UX, timing, and content quality to ensure campaigns are effective.
  • Proactive collaboration with the data team, monetization manager, and CMO.
  • Analytical thinking.

  • Enthusiasm for dynamic digital media brands.

Responsibilities

  • Conceive, implement, and scale complex lifecycle campaigns via mailing and app push.
  • Technically implement purchase abandoner scenarios, onboarding processes, and reactivation campaigns.
  • Develop and optimize AI-powered workflows as an integral part of modern automation.
  • Use data to develop creative strategies for feature activations, gamification, and rewards.
  • Control KPIs such as churn rate, LTV, and trial-to-paid rate and derive concrete measures.
  • Ensure seamless technical integration and clean reporting in CRM and analytics tools.
