About The Position

Our client, a highly respected CPA and advisory firm with a history dating back to 1947, is seeking an experienced Senior Auditor to join its growing Assurance team in Green Bay. This is more than a traditional audit role. It's an opportunity to work directly with business owners, nonprofit organizations, municipalities, management teams, and organizational leaders while helping deliver high-quality audit, review, and assurance services. You'll play a visible role within the firm's Assurance practice while developing trusted client relationships, mentoring staff, and gaining exposure to a diverse portfolio of engagements. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Active CPA license
  • 5+ years of public accounting audit experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and organizational abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Execute audit, review, and assurance engagements from planning through completion
  • Manage engagement budgets, timelines, and fieldwork activities
  • Prepare and review financial statements and supporting documentation
  • Analyze accounting records and financial data
  • Ensure engagements are completed efficiently and in accordance with professional standards
  • Apply GAAP, cash basis, tax basis, and other specialized accounting frameworks
  • Evaluate accounting policies and financial reporting practices
  • Research technical accounting and audit matters
  • Assist in identifying and resolving complex financial reporting issues
  • Maintain current knowledge of accounting and auditing standards
  • Build and strengthen relationships with clients
  • Communicate engagement progress, findings, and recommendations effectively
  • Assist clients with accounting and reporting challenges
  • Deliver exceptional client service throughout the engagement lifecycle
  • Become a trusted resource for client management teams
  • Identify risks and areas for operational improvement
  • Recommend practical solutions and best practices
  • Assist clients in strengthening internal controls
  • Evaluate financial reporting processes and procedures
  • Work closely with audit managers, principals, and engagement teams
  • Assist in mentoring and supporting staff accountants
  • Contribute to a collaborative and high-performing team culture
  • Support firm growth initiatives and special projects as needed
