About The Position

Volt is hiring a Senior Accountant in Newark, New Jersey. The role supports the Institutional Retirement segment with financial reporting and analysis under both U.S. GAAP and Statutory requirements. The Institutional Retirement Controllership team oversees the completeness and accuracy of financial reporting and analysis, along with related quarterly close deliverables. It works closely with Business Unit Finance, Capital, P&A, and other Corporate teams to provide financial insights to senior management and support accurate disclosures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly and annual financial reporting deliverables under both GAAP and Statutory reporting requirements.
• Ensure financial statements are reasonable and communicated in a timely manner, supported by well-controlled processes.
• Analyze trends and variances across the business segment's income statements and balance sheets.
• Provide support and analysis for SEC 10-Q and 10-K filings.
• Support reinsurance arrangements and related analytics.
• Respond to ad hoc requests related to strategic initiatives.
• Help drive continuous process improvements and efficiencies.
