Our client, a highly respected CPA and advisory firm with a history dating back to 1947, is seeking an experienced Senior Auditor to join its growing Assurance team in Eau Claire. This is more than a traditional audit role. It's an opportunity to work directly with business owners, nonprofit organizations, municipalities, management teams, and organizational leaders while helping deliver high-quality audit, review, and assurance services. Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Active CPA license
- 4-5+ years of public accounting audit experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Responsibilities
- Execute audit, review, and assurance engagements from planning through completion
- Manage engagement budgets, timelines, and fieldwork activities
- Prepare and review financial statements and supporting documentation
- Analyze accounting records and financial data
- Ensure engagements are completed efficiently and in accordance with professional standards
- Apply GAAP, cash basis, tax basis, and other specialized accounting frameworks
- Evaluate accounting policies and financial reporting practices
- Research technical accounting and audit matters
- Assist in identifying and resolving complex financial reporting issues
- Maintain current knowledge of accounting and auditing standards
- Build and strengthen relationships with clients
- Communicate engagement progress, findings, and recommendations effectively
- Assist clients with accounting and reporting challenges
- Deliver exceptional client service throughout the engagement lifecycle
- Become a trusted resource for client management teams
- Identify risks and areas for operational improvement
- Recommend practical solutions and best practices
- Assist clients in strengthening internal controls
- Evaluate financial reporting processes and procedures
- Work closely with audit managers, principals, and engagement teams
- Assist in mentoring and supporting staff accountants
- Contribute to a collaborative and high-performing team culture
- Support firm growth initiatives and special projects as needed
