Senior Audience Marketing Manager

Five9
•$82,300 - $229,500•Hybrid

About The Position

Five9 is seeking a Senior Audience Marketing Manager to lead the audience strategy for a specific industry vertical. This role is crucial for understanding target accounts, aligning marketing and sales efforts, and effectively communicating Five9's platform story to buying committees within that industry. The manager will be responsible for building and executing the audience plan, managing the associated budget, and driving pipeline outcomes. The specific industry vertical will be assigned based on business needs and may change over time. The ideal candidate will focus on pipeline generation rather than just campaign execution, collaborating closely with various internal teams to ensure alignment with go-to-market priorities. They must be able to present and defend the marketing plan to leadership using pipeline logic and measurable outcomes.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in B2B marketing with direct accountability for pipeline or revenue outcomes.
  • Experience designing and executing account-based, vertical, or industry-specific marketing programs.
  • Proven track record of partnering directly with sales organizations against a shared account list and shared pipeline targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to tie marketing programs to pipeline and revenue outcomes, not just activity metrics.
  • Deep understanding of B2B SaaS buying processes and multi-persona buying committees.
  • Experience owning and defending a marketing budget.
  • Working fluency across the full demand marketing mix (field, digital, email, content, and events) with an integrated approach.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt core positioning for different personas and industries.
  • Comfort working consistently from shared frameworks and proof points.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience marketing into a regulated or compliance-heavy B2B industry (financial services, healthcare, government, or similar).
  • Experience in contact center, CCaaS, UCaaS, or adjacent technology industries.
  • Familiarity with account scoring/ICP models, ABM platforms (e.g., 6sense, Demandbase).
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or marketing analytics tools.
  • Hands-on proficiency with modern AI tools and a clear point of view on their application to audience and demand marketing, including practical experience using AI to accelerate campaign development, research, and content production.

Responsibilities

  • Own and communicate the audience marketing strategy for an assigned industry vertical, aligned with Five9's account-based go-to-market model, covering the entire customer lifecycle from prospect to advocate.
  • Establish a measurement model to connect audience activities with business outcomes, including new and expansion pipeline creation, account engagement, and funnel progression.
  • Present vertical performance and investment cases to marketing and sales leadership, clearly demonstrating the link between spend and outcomes.
  • Own the marketing contribution to the vertical's pipeline in direct partnership with Sales, Sales Development, and Customer Success/Account Management teams.
  • Build and execute marketing programs for the vertical's existing customer base to drive engagement, expansion, and cross-sell.
  • Participate in the vertical's pipeline cadence, reporting progress and gaps alongside sales and customer success counterparts.
  • Adapt Five9's core platform positioning to the specific buying committee within the vertical, translating a horizontal narrative into an industry-specific pitch.
  • Equip Sales, Sales Development, and Customer Success/Account Management with vertical-specific messaging, proof points, and objection handling, staying current on industry regulatory and competitive contexts.
  • Identify key competitors for the vertical and integrate differentiation into campaign messaging proactively.
  • Manage the marketing budget for the vertical, making strategic trade-offs across prospect accounts, customer accounts, events, campaigns, and content.
