Senior Associates in Fund Accounting are responsible for a broad spectrum of financial and accounting matters for Private Equity clients, including preparing and processing transactions, financial reports, and applying accounting principles to various transactions.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
2+ years’ experience in fund accounting preferably in Fund Accounting
Strong knowledge of financial reporting and financial products (i.e. equities, futures, fixed income, Funds)
Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented
Team player mentality with the ability to independently
Ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, advanced Excel skills

Nice To Haves

Master’s Degree, CPA/CFA are strong pluses

Responsibilities

Maintain all financial data in the investment database
Post all journal entries and prepare monthly trial balance reports
Reconcile bank accounts
Calculate capital calls and distributions
Full NAV calculation – income and expense accruals
Allocate income to partners in accordance with terms of partnership agreements
Prepare and issue quarterly financial statements, in accordance with US GAAP for each entity
Maintain and update investment data (number of shares, location of securities, country of origin)
Interact with clients and provide information as needed
