About The Position

Modern Executive Solutions is seeking a Senior Associate-level professional, described in the posting as a Director, to join its Technology Practice as the primary practice. This high-accountability role is for an experienced executive search professional who will own research strategy and lead first-round executive assessment across complex, enterprise-level retained searches. The Technology Practice focuses on senior technology leadership roles, including CIO, CTO, CDO, CISO, VP Engineering, and related enterprise leaders, primarily within large, complex, and Fortune 500 organizations. Directors typically manage six concurrent searches and deliver approximately 14 or more searches annually. The role includes contributing to client updates, mentoring colleagues, and maintaining strong standards of quality, rigor, and execution. The position is remote. The advertised pay range is $110,000–$115,000 per year, with a 10% annual target bonus.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in retained executive search or senior-level executive recruiting.
Experience managing multiple concurrent executive searches.
Demonstrated ownership of research strategy and market mapping, with 90%+ accuracy expected.
Experience conducting executive-level interviews with VP, SVP, and C-suite candidates.
Strong executive presence and communication skills.
High standards for quality and accountability.

Nice To Haves

Technology executive search experience within enterprise environments is strongly preferred.
An interest in technology executive search; candidates with such an interest will be considered.

Responsibilities

Own research and market-mapping strategy across multiple retained searches.
Conduct first-round executive interviews and lead the majority of first-stage assessments.
Use judgment in candidate calibration and advancement decisions.
Participate actively in client update calls, presenting market insights and candidate recommendations.
Mentor Associates and Associate Directors.
Maintain high standards of quality, rigor, and execution.
