About The Position
Nomura's Investment Banking division provides advisory and capital-raising solutions globally. The Nomura Greentech team, a fully integrated part of Investment Banking, focuses on M&A advisory and capital formation for sustainable technology and infrastructure clients worldwide. This team works with clients transforming core infrastructure systems (energy, transportation, food, water, waste) towards lower carbon, more efficient, and digitally networked solutions. Nomura Greentech has 120 dedicated professionals across global offices and collaborates closely with the broader Nomura network. The team is led by experienced senior bankers who are sector experts, offering conflict-free advice and innovative solutions. They pride themselves on sector and technical expertise, aiming to change the way business is done.
Requirements
- Outstanding academic qualifications; strong GPA
- Prior investment banking experience; bulge bracket or boutique program training a plus
- Passion for the business opportunities in energy transition and sustainable infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Series 79 and 63, or willingness to sit for the exams required
Responsibilities
- Work closely with clients and deal teams on live transactions, including mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, capital raisings, financings, and derivative transactions.
- Produce and present ideas at client meetings as a member of a deal team alongside senior bankers; Nomura Greentech seniors bankers take an active approach to ensure associate-level involvement in client meetings and broader coverage.
- Through financial, structural, and business risk analysis, support transactions and client presentations.
- Actively participate in covering clients, leveraging proprietary content and generating value-additive ideas.
- Manage Associates & Analysts to execute deliverables for clients and support the training and mentoring of junior professionals; associates play a key role in junior team development.
