About The Position

Capital One’s Enterprise Service Management (ESM) teams are seeking a Senior Associate, Supplier Management. The role manages the overall relationship between Capital One and key third parties to support a well-managed, adaptable supply chain. The Senior Associate works with internal team members to establish and maintain relationships with internal business customers and assigned suppliers, and contributes to cost, risk, and performance management efforts as well as identifying strategic opportunities for growth or improved return on investment. Limited travel may be required.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
• At least 2 years of experience in Relationship Management, Supplier Management, Project Management, or Process Management, or a combination of these areas.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree or military experience.
• At least 4 years of experience in Procurement, Sourcing, Operations Management, or Risk Management.

Responsibilities

• Provide problem-solving support and innovative ideas to internal customers.
• Identify value-generating opportunities, including savings, efficiencies, and revenue growth.
• Partner with others to negotiate contracts for a broad range of services for Capital One.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for third parties and manage effective governance between Capital One and assigned third parties.
• Partner with internal risk groups to help ensure third-party relationships comply with relevant policies and procedures.
• Monitor and ensure successful delivery against third-party contractual obligations.
• Manage policy requirements for all assigned third-party relationships.
• Plan and lead periodic reviews and assessments of supplier relationships.
• Maintain awareness of the external marketplace related to assigned suppliers and perform sourcing activities where appropriate.
