About The Position

Capital One’s Enterprise Service Management (ESM) team is seeking an Associate, Supplier Management to manage the holistic relationship between Capital One and key third parties and support a well-managed, adaptable supply chain. The Associate works with internal team members to establish and maintain relationships with internal business customers and assigned suppliers. The role supports cost, risk, and performance management for third-party relationships and identifies strategic opportunities for growth and greater return on investment. Limited travel may be required.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of experience in Google Suite.
• At least 1 year of procurement experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide problem-solving support and innovative ideas to internal customers.
• Identify value-generating opportunities, such as savings, efficiencies, or revenue growth.
• Partner with others to negotiate contracts for a broad range of services for Capital One.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for third parties and manage effective governance between Capital One and assigned third parties.
• Partner with internal risk groups to help ensure third-party relationships comply with relevant policies and procedures.
• Monitor and ensure successful delivery against third-party contractual obligations.
• Manage policy requirements for assigned third-party relationships.
• Plan and lead periodic reviews and assessments of supplier relationships.
• Maintain awareness of the external marketplace related to assigned suppliers and perform sourcing activities where appropriate.
