Senior Associate, Strategy & Operations - Payments Fraud (Canada)
About The Position
The Integrity team is seeking a Strategy & Operations Senior Associate to help reduce fraud costs and drive solutions that safeguard the integrity of our platform. In this role, you’ll develop a deep understanding of our three core audiences—Consumers, Dashers, and Merchants—and become a key resource for analyzing behaviors that may indicate risky or abusive patterns. You’ll lead investigations into high-risk activity, design data-informed strategies, and implement cross-functional initiatives to mitigate losses while maintaining a seamless and trusted user experience. Most importantly, you’ll help strike the right balance between user trust and risk management, ensuring we continue to support growth while protecting the platform. Our best Senior Associates are data-driven, truth seeking, strategic thought partners and operators. They combine business context and analytics to take on a problem area and implement a customized solution. You will establish and refine DoorDash's strategic approach to payments, credit and refund risks by working on the operations, engineering, and analytics needed to protect DoorDash’s audiences from bad actors. You will analyze user behavior across DoorDash's platform, completing end-to-end analysis that allows us to better identify bad actors and improve the experience of good users. You will influence and engage across the company, partnering with product, engineering, and analytics teams to establish goals and build strategic programs. You will improve through experimentation, using data-driven decision-making to run tests in order to reduce risk while accelerating growth.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in consulting, strategy, business development, operations, technology, investment banking, analytics or related experience
- Experience leading projects, hitting goals, and succeeding in a team environment
- Strong communicator, both written and verbal
- Problem solving and analytical skills, including proficiency in SQL and expertise in Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets/sheets)
- Bachelor's degree
