Senior Associate, New Verticals - Canada Strategy & Operations

DoorDash CanadaVancouver, BC
CA$97,000 - CA$121,000Hybrid

About The Position

This role is part of the New Verticals team, which launched in 2020 to expand DoorDash's marketplace beyond restaurants to include grocery, convenience, alcohol, retail, and DashMart stores across the US and Canada. The team focuses on building the Canadian marketplace to ensure timely and quality delivery of consumer needs. The Senior Associate will focus on improving partnerships with Dashers and driving operational efficiencies, or on enhancing platform quality to improve the shopping experience and increase consumer spend. Both roles require understanding marketplace data and constraints to strategize actionable plans for efficiency levers such as in-store navigation, in-app experience, dasher pay, and pricing & promotions. The position involves understanding the three-sided marketplace, unit economics, and balancing growth, cost, and quality. The role sits at the intersection of strategy, operations, and product, requiring rapid idea generation, metric ownership, product vision building, complex analysis, experimentation, and leveraging AI. The Senior Associate will report to a Manager on the New Verticals Strategy & Operations team and is an individual contributor role. The company operates on a hybrid model with some in-person days. Candidates will be considered for two distinct roles during the interview process.
