About The Position

As a Senior Associate, Planning at WPP Media, you will help develop media strategies and plans and make recommendations consistent with approved strategy. You will manage day-to-day stewardship of approved plans, including budget control, media activity, and monitoring buys and schedules. You will also prepare media authorizations and train Associates in media fundamentals, policies and procedures, and computer systems. The role works closely with a Manager and internal and external teams to deliver accurate, timely, strategic, consumer-insights-driven work.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Media, or Communications, or equivalent professional work experience.
At least 1 year of related media planning or communications planning experience.
Strong understanding of media fundamentals, including media math, target audience development, and communication goals such as reach and frequency.
Proficiency with systems and tools.
Strong quantitative, analytical, and mathematical skills.
Ability to work as part of a team, manage multiple assignments, and meet tight deadlines.
Business-minded, extremely detail-oriented, and demonstrably organized.
Digitally savvy, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

Partner with the Manager to develop communication plan options and recommendations.
Gather and analyze data to make strategic, consumer-insights-driven media recommendations.
Deliver points of view and position papers on key client issues and opportunities.
Ensure approved communication plans are executed properly, including maintaining accurate budget control and media activity flow, updating the Manager and, where appropriate, client contacts, and monitoring buys and schedules.
Prepare media authorizations according to approved plans and project requests.
Train Associates and review their work for accuracy.
Maintain strong, collaborative, and productive relationships with internal and external teams and partners, acting with high integrity.
Deliver all work accurately and on time.
