About The Position

Capital One Auto Dealer Brand is seeking a skilled, innovation-driven Senior Associate, Front-End Web & Email Developer to create the structure, layout, and functionality of financial services marketing campaigns and touchpoints. The role focuses on high-quality execution across landing pages, email campaigns, and other experience-driven interactions. The developer partners with business partners, brand strategy managers, data partners, and creative teams to produce deliverables and help drive strategy, technical innovation, and operational efficiency. This highly visible role offers the opportunity to act as a subject matter expert using research, insights, and technology.

The role translates design mockups into functional interfaces, builds technically accurate email templates, and produces reusable code for deployment. It also includes testing and quality assurance, accessibility and regulatory compliance, staying current with industry trends, and influencing tooling and process improvements. The associate manages multiple concurrent projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in front-end web development with HTML5, CSS3+, and JavaScript ES6+.
• At least 2 years of experience in email development platforms.
• At least 2 years of experience with responsive design principles and modern, mobile-first development.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on creating systems that age well.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills to communicate effectively with business strategy partners and data engineers.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• A proactive, entrepreneurial spirit.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s Degree.
• At least 2 years of experience with modern JavaScript and web frameworks such as Tailwind, React, Angular, or Vue.js, and TypeScript for robust, type-safe code.
• At least 1 year of experience using Generative AI tools such as Gemini, Claude, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, or Cursor to accelerate coding workflows and iterate on technical solutions.
• Proficiency with Git and version-control workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and modern deployment environments.
• Strong understanding of UI and UX design principles.
• At least 2 years of experience with Ampscript for dynamic personalization and logic within emails.

Responsibilities

• Create the structure, layout, and functionality of landing pages and websites using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Build and render technically accurate email templates within email clients while adhering to common platform limitations, using Salesforce Marketing Cloud or other tools.
• Produce clean, reusable, technically accurate code files for deployment.
• Partner on the technical feasibility of creative and strategic concepts.
• Translate Figma design mockups into functional interfaces.
• Manage ongoing testing and improvement of campaigns.
• Conduct cross-browser and cross-client compatibility checks and debug using browser developer tools.
• Ensure deliverables adhere to WCAG accessibility standards and CAN-SPAM and GDPR regulations.
• Stay current with technology and industry trends, and drive future-facing standardization.
• Influence decisions on tooling and process improvements, and navigate processes to mitigate risk and deliver strong outcomes for end customers.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently and self-manage deadlines to meet strict timelines without sacrificing quality.
