About The Position

Capital One Auto Dealer Brand is seeking an innovation-driven Senior Associate, Front-End Web & Email Developer to build and improve financial services marketing campaigns and digital touchpoints. The role develops the structure, layout, and functionality of landing pages, websites, and email campaigns, delivering high-quality experiences for customers. It partners with business partners, brand strategy managers, data partners, and creative teams to deliver work and advance strategy, technical innovation, and operational efficiency. The position is highly visible and offers the opportunity to serve as a subject matter expert using research, insights, and technology.

The developer translates design mockups into functional interfaces, helps assess the technical feasibility of concepts, and builds accurate email templates that account for email-client limitations. The role also manages testing and quality assurance, ensures compliance with accessibility and marketing regulations, and contributes to tooling and process improvements. It requires managing concurrent projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in front-end web development with HTML5, CSS3+, and JavaScript ES6+.
• At least 2 years of experience with email development platforms.
• At least 2 years of experience with responsive design principles and modern, mobile-first development.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a proactive entrepreneurial spirit.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on creating systems that age well.
• Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills to communicate effectively with business strategy partners and data engineers.
• Curiosity, observation, and an interest in finding opportunities for improvement and using technology to automate work and build adaptable, scalable systems.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s Degree.
• 2+ years of experience with modern JavaScript and web frameworks such as Tailwind, React, Angular, or Vue.js, and TypeScript.
• 1+ years of experience using generative AI tools such as Gemini, Claude, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, or Cursor to accelerate coding workflows and iterate on technical solutions.
• Proficiency with Git and version-control workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and modern deployment environments.
• Strong understanding of UI and UX design principles.
• 2+ years of experience with AMPscript for dynamic personalization and logic within emails.

Responsibilities

• Create the structure, layout, and functionality of landing pages and websites using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Build and render technically accurate email templates across email clients while accounting for common platform limitations, using Salesforce Marketing Cloud or other tools.
• Produce clean, reusable, technically accurate code files for deployment.
• Partner on the technical feasibility of creative and strategic concepts.
• Translate Figma design mockups into functional interfaces.
• Manage ongoing campaign testing and improvement, including cross-browser and cross-client compatibility checks and debugging with browser developer tools.
• Ensure deliverables meet WCAG accessibility standards and comply with CAN-SPAM and GDPR regulations.
• Monitor industry trends and promote future-facing standardization by staying current with technology.
• Act as a proactive technical partner, influence tooling and process-improvement decisions, and navigate processes to mitigate risk and deliver strong customer outcomes.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently, self-manage deadlines, and meet strict timelines without sacrificing quality.
