About The Position

The Senior Associate Director, Government Communications & PAC is a Corporate Affairs storyteller focused on public policy communications. Partnering closely with U.S. Public & Government Affairs, which owns policy positions, this role owns the narrative: translating complex policy issues into clear, human, credible stories that build trust, strengthen reputation, and demonstrate how the company’s innovation delivers value to patients, communities, and the healthcare system. The role connects policy priorities to therapeutic areas, patient communities, and business goals, and develops a coherent narrative across owned, earned, and social channels. It does not set policy positions. The incumbent serves as the lead communications partner to U.S. Public & Government Affairs and the enterprise owner of the Political Action Committee (PAC). The role develops storytelling and digital campaigns, supports PAC participation, extends executive thought leadership, and engages stakeholders. It also leads PAC strategy, governance, operations, engagement, and performance measurement, while partnering with teams across the company and external PAC administrators. This position offers a remote work arrangement, with the expectation that the candidate will be based in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
