Senior Application Programmer - Active Secret
About The Position
This role involves the development, modification, maintenance, and testing of information systems, subsystems, and databases. The Senior Application Programmer will support various meetings, including management, stakeholder, customer, developer, and end-user sessions, as well as participate in change management. Responsibilities include customer and documentation support, infrastructure and development support, and functional testing. The role also requires reviewing and analyzing project management plans, and designing, developing, and supporting web services and re-engineered components based on business needs and priorities. Establishing standards and guidelines for web service development and usage is also a key aspect of this position.
Requirements
- Strong programming skills
- HTTPS/SOAP/RESTful web services development
- XML/JSON/XSLT development
- Systems documentation and unit test plan development
- Peer reviews, configuration management, and change control processes
- RDBMS and database normalization
- Agile and Waterfall development methodologies
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Nice To Haves
- Experience with DevOps, JIRA, and Phire
- Experience with Human Resources application environments
- PeopleSoft, Oracle, SQL Server, Java, .NET/ASP, ColdFusion, Visual Basic, or similar experience
- Federal IT, cleared environment, RMF/FISMA, or secure operations experience
