About The Position
Hercules is looking for a senior analytics and full-stack engineer to help build the future of AI software development. This role will own the full data-stack, including ETL processes, data modeling, semantic layer modeling, and business intelligence. The goal is to make the company's BI tools as self-serve as possible for the entire organization.
Requirements
- Strong software fundamentals: system design, architecture, data modeling, and API design.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable code and work effectively in monorepos.
- Strong experience modeling data with DBT or another declarative data modeling framework.
- Strong experience with at least one semantic layer modeling framework like Omni, Looker, etc.
- Strong understanding of different ways to display data for easy consumption.
- Ability to leverage AI to enhance workflow.
- Willingness to work in US time zones (if remote).
- Willingness to travel to the office regularly (if remote).
Responsibilities
- Own the full data-stack: ETL, data modeling, semantic layer modeling, and business intelligence.
- Get all data from 3rd party providers (like Stripe, Meta ads, operational database) into the Data warehouse (BigQuery).
- Clean and model data using DBT and the medallion architecture.
- Define and model key business metrics, ensuring 100% accuracy.
- Create dashboards and visualizations using Omni for Business Intelligence, aiming for maximum self-service capabilities across the company.
