Senior Analyst, Strategic Finance

Rivian•Palo Alto, CA

About The Position

Rivian’s Strategic Finance team is a lean, high-impact group that supports critical executive decisions. It owns the Long-Range Financial Plan (LRP), connecting corporate ambition with resource requirements and capital strategy, and evaluates corporate transactions, commercial structures, capital allocation decisions, and strategic partnerships. The team works across Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial, Corporate Development, Accounting, and Investor Relations to convert strategy into concrete, auditable plans. The Senior Strategic Finance Analyst handles unstructured, high-stakes financial questions that shape Rivian’s financial trajectory. This self-directed role owns complex projects end to end: defining questions, gathering and diligencing cross-functional assumptions, building financial frameworks from scratch, and presenting recommendations to executive leaders. The analyst develops new business cases, assesses investment economics and strategic opportunities, contributes to the LRP, and translates complex models into executive-ready communications. The role also uses advanced analytics and modern AI productivity tools to improve data synthesis, sensitivity analysis, and scenario iteration.
