Senior Analyst, Sourcing (Multiple Categories)
About The Position
The Senior Analyst, Sourcing supports sourcing activities across multiple product categories, including Baby and Personal Care & Beauty. The role uses data-driven analysis, supplier management, and cost negotiation to develop sourcing proposals and meet business objectives. It develops product, market, and industry knowledge; supports supplier performance and operational processes; and contributes to continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with company policies. The position works with Merchandising, Product Development, global suppliers, quality engineering, and other cross-functional partners to execute sourcing strategies, negotiate costs, address quality concerns, and support supply operations. It also coordinates buying trips and helps ensure supplier quotations and samples are completed on time. The role fosters stakeholder relationships and supports sourcing decisions that align with Walmart's commitment to value, operational excellence, and strong supplier performance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in strategic sourcing and supplier management within complex supply chains.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage price and contract discussions.
- Proficiency in data analysis to support sourcing proposals and informed decision-making.
- Strong financial analysis skills to evaluate costs, sourcing opportunities, and supplier performance.
- Ability to develop and maintain supplier performance metrics and improve business processes.
- Excellent communication skills to build stakeholder relationships and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Adaptability to evolving business needs and commitment to continuous learning and operational excellence.
- Experience supporting sourcing projects and coordinating activities to meet organizational goals.
- Experience mentoring, developing, or supporting associates while fostering accountability and collaboration.

Responsibilities
- Support sourcing activities aligned with the supplier matrix and contribute to cost negotiations using component pricing insights.
- Develop product, market, and industry knowledge to inform sourcing proposals and project execution.
- Coordinate and support buying trips, including itinerary setup, cost negotiation, and finalization.
- Ensure timely completion of supplier quotations and samples to facilitate decision-making.
- Maintain and update supplier performance data and contribute to business reports for sourcing management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and support daily supply operations, including partnering with quality engineering teams on supplier-related concerns.
- Build stakeholder relationships to support sourcing plans and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support sourcing projects and coordinate activities to meet organizational goals.
- Mentor, develop, or support associates while fostering accountability and collaboration.
