About The Position
CVS Health is seeking a Senior Analyst – Rebate Forecasting to join our PBM Financial Forecasting team. This individual contributor role is responsible for forecasting and underwriting rebates, serving as a subject‑matter expert on rebate economics, and supporting the development of competitive, compliant rebate guarantees for prospective and existing clients. In this high‑impact role, you will collaborate closely with internal partners to ensure rebate offers are market‑competitive, defensible, and executable. You will support all aspects of rebate forecasting—from analysis through finalization of rebate guarantees—and play a key role in translating complex formulary and contract strategies into clear financial outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Analytics, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, PBM rebate forecasting, underwriting support, or financial modeling.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and data analysis.
- Ability to manage tight deadlines and competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in PBM underwriting, rebate forecasting, or healthcare contracting.
- Familiarity with formulary strategies, rebate guarantees, and specialty drug dynamics.
- Prior experience supporting pricing events, RFPs, or client negotiations.
- Experience working cross‑functionally in a matrixed environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop rebate forecasts used in RFPs, renewals, market checks, and strategic pricing events.
- Support underwriting by analyzing utilization data, formulary strategies, and rebate contract structures to project earned rebates and client guarantees.
- Partner cross‑functionally with Sales, Account Services, Underwriting, Trade, Legal, Finance, Proposals, and Clinical teams to align assumptions and pricing decisions.
- Oversee the finalization of rebate guarantees, including documentation and support for contractual execution.
- Provide clear, concise explanations of forecast drivers, risks, and variances to internal stakeholders and, as needed, external clients, consultants, and attorneys.
- Perform advanced Excel‑based modeling to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets and communicate insights.
- Ensure forecasts are accurate, transparent, and audit‑ready, documenting assumptions and known limitations.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment by sharing knowledge, mentoring junior analysts, and supporting continuous process improvement.
