About The Position

Workday on Workday (WOW) is part of the Workday Business Technology organization, providing technology services for financial, payroll, and human resource functions. The team partners with business partners to deliver an outstanding experience within Workday's application and collaborates with the Workday product development team on improvements and future design considerations. This role is for a Business System Analyst (BSA) on the WOW Finance team, focusing on driving process and system improvements to enable the finance organization and scale operations. The BSA will offer technical mentorship, be hands-on, respond to reporting/analytics requests, manage projects, build integrations, and work independently while collaborating closely with functional financial business partners. A key aspect of this role is partnering with the Workday Product team for customer zero rollouts of agents and features. The BSA will analyze business problems, recommend solutions for automation and efficiency, evaluate and develop cost-effective systems and procedures, and ensure the successful maintenance and configuration of new Workday solutions, including redesigning existing features and recommending optimized implementation approaches for new features.

Requirements

5+ years of professional Business Analyst experience supporting finance teams and processes
5+ years of experience with the implementation and administration of financial applications.
Experience detailing and analyzing processes, procedures, and/or policies
Ability to learn and adopt new technologies, applications, and solutions.
Ability to take takeaways and share with others to improve the overall skill of the team.
Ability to understand common issues and mentor others to drive work down to the most appropriate level of support.
Self-motivated, flexible, teammate with validated multi-tasking, time management & organization
Interpersonal, teamwork, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

Workday Financials experience is preferred
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus
Previous consulting experience either as a consultant with a consulting company or an internal consultant, a plus
Ability to help define team processes, make recommendations regarding areas of improvement.

Responsibilities

Work closely with out Business Finance, Tax, & Treasury business partners to understand business processes, goals and gaps
Drive the planning, prioritization, design, development and deployment of new projects & system improvements in Workday
Leverage business knowledge and expertise to find opportunities for process improvements
Participate in the change management and launch support processes of any new and modification of existing configuration
Facilitate review sessions with functional owners, domain experts and end-user representatives
Coordinate and perform system testing to ensure requirements are met
Assist project team during user acceptance testing (UAT); including tracking issues through to resolution and securing end user acceptance signoff
