About The Position

Senior Analysts work with team members to provide economic, financial and business strategy consulting to law firms, corporations and government agencies. Senior Analysts are responsible for performing research and analysis and communicating findings and conclusions in support of case objectives. Senior Analysts may work on multiple projects at a time across multiple practice areas and industries. Senior Analysts have the opportunity to direct the work of analysts as well as train analysts, interns and temps. Requirements

  • A bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance, mathematics, statistics, or related subjects.
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience required.
  • Strong quantitative and research skills, including analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with AI tools.
  • Ability to conduct targeted research to solve the economic, financial, accounting, and business challenges our clients face.
  • Intellectual curiosity with a strong desire to continuously learn.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to work independently as well as within a team setting.
  • A strong academic track record, with demonstrated attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • At least a 3.3 GPA or higher in their most recent degree.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quantitative analyses of economic, financial, and healthcare data using algorithms and statistical programming in Java, Python, R, SAS, Stata, VBA, and other programs.
  • Develop data analyses using statistical methods and analytical tools including econometric estimation of models, survival analysis, and machine learning.
  • Create dynamic visualizations to rapidly explore data and models.
  • Conduct market and industry research using academic and industry literature, publicly available data sources, and client materials.
  • Review, synthesize and apply technical accounting guidance and interpretive literature.
  • Synthesize findings to inform case strategy and analysis.
  • Assist in reviewing and summarizing reports and client documents.
  • Draft expert reports, presentations, and internal memoranda.
  • Help prepare materials for client and case team meetings.
  • Engage regularly with colleagues at all levels through case work and have an opportunity to interact directly with clients and academic experts.
  • Contribute to firm growth and culture by participating in recruiting, mentoring, and inclusion initiatives; pro bono work; training new analysts, interns and temps; and other business development activities.
  • Train and mentor new analysts, interns, and temporary staff.
  • Delegate, coordinate, or oversee the work of new analysts, interns, and temporary staff to support project and case team success.
