About The Position

The Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis seeks a Rooms Manager in Training (MIT) to join our talented team! This is a unique opportunity to be part of the world's leading luxury hotel company. The Four Seasons Manager-in-Training Program is a 12–18-month rotational program designed to provide all the necessary tools to accelerate your career and succeed as a future leader. Requirements

  • Minimum one to two years’ experience within the hospitality or service industry
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership experience through work, extra curriculars and/or studies
  • Passion to grow and develop within the industry and Four Seasons brand
  • Strong communication skills (English)
  • Valid work authorization for the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Upcoming or recent graduate from a Hospitality Management post-secondary program
  • Graduates from all disciplines will be considered
  • Additional spoken languages considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Manages the staff at the Front Desk and / or Housekeeping, and/or Guest Services, ensuring the team is following standards and the steps of service.
  • Takes action in all matters related to the safety, security, satisfaction and wellbeing of hotel guests and employees when senior managers are not available.
  • Responds swiftly and effectively in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
  • Reviews daily arrivals to ensure proper handling of Special Attention Guests, Return Guests, and Groups.
  • Assists with operation as needed during Guest Service rotation, inclusive of luggage assistance and valet parking vehicles.
  • Assists with inspecting rooms and coordinating housekeeping operations during Housekeeping rotation.
  • Checks guests in and out in an efficient and friendly manner, using guest name whenever possible during Front Desk rotation.
  • Assures that guest is assigned type of room requested and the correct rate is charged.
  • Arranges for luggage to be delivered to guest room.
  • Issues correct keys to the guest.
  • Checks out guest at end of stay.
  • Ascertains guest satisfaction, collects keys, posts late charges and presents bill to guest.
  • Settles bill accurately through credit card or cash transaction.
  • Resolves customer complaints from all areas of the hotel, handling all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible.
  • Assists customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, hours of operations, key hotel personnel, in-house events, directions, etc.
  • Responds to all guest requests in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Interaction with guest will be in person and by phone.
  • Assists management team with scheduling, labor management, and payroll.
