Requirements

  • Admission to the New York State Bar
  • Four years of recent full-time responsible, relevant, satisfactory legal experience subsequent to admission to any bar
  • Eighteen months of which must have been in the supervision of other attorneys, in an administrative, managerial or executive capacity, or performing highly complex and significant legal work.
  • Must remain Members of the New York State Bar in good standing for the duration of this employment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison between City, State, and Federal elected officials, IGA Legislative Units, IGA Senior Advisors, and relevant Mayoral agencies and offices, to oversee projects, and develop and implement strategic outreach to elected and advocates in furtherance of Mayoral goals.
  • Coordinate with agencies, boards, commissions, organizations, and institutions relevant to Administration goals and policy initiatives, meet project goals and timelines and review agency and interagency work product.
  • Provide administrative support and coordination, including preparation of correspondence and briefing memoranda, background research and information for the Director of Intergovernmental Affairs.
