Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalency
  • Strong leadership skills required
  • Familiar with physician's office procedures
  • Surgical scheduling experience required
  • Good oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, excel, graphics

Responsibilities

  • Performs and overall coordination of administrative and secretarial duties for specialty practices.
  • Provides administrative and secretarial support to practice physicians and senior staff.
  • Provides adequate backup in reception coverage by assisting in greeting outpatients, collation and handling incoming calls.
  • Acts as the lead liaison between partnering hospitals and surgical scheduling for outpatient or inpatient procedures.
  • Works in collaboration with site management on performance and policy adherence.
  • Assists in training new colleagues based on expectations.
  • Manages daily staffing needs in coordination with office and float pool managers.
  • Displays leadership qualities.
  • Serves as a mentor and role model to all colleagues.
  • Ensures distribution of work throughout the team is sufficient to meet daily scheduling needs.
