About The Position

The Development Services Department of Provo City is looking for a Senior Administrative Assistant to perform advanced, specialized clerical support work in their Planning Division. Qualified, civic-minded individuals interested in supporting the services provided to Provo residents by performing the duties described herein are strongly encouraged to apply.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
3 years of clerical experience.
OR an equivalent combination of job-related education and experience [substituting each 1 year of related post-secondary education/training for 6 months of experience].
A valid, lawful Driver license may be required.
Must be available for occasional evening work (twice per month on Wednesday evenings; once per month on Monday evenings).

Responsibilities

Prepare and edit reports, forms, and other documents; take notes at meetings; transcribe documents; and enter and retrieve data from specialized software programs.
Maintain files and records and organization process for same.
Respond to complex requests for information in accordance with GRAMA principles.
Schedule meetings, appointments, and conferences; maintain calendars and staff schedules.
Support citizen boards and commissions.
Manage phone calls, answer questions, and provide information.
Assist customers at the front counter.
Support office staff as needed and performs other related duties as required.
