About The Position
VEZA Manufacturing is a growing wire harness and electromechanical assembly manufacturer serving innovative customers in EV, aerospace, defense, energy, medical, and computing markets. We are building a high-performing Finance team that supports disciplined growth and operational excellence. The Senior Accounts Specialist is a key member of the Finance team responsible for owning complex transactional accounting activities across the full billing, collections, and payables cycle. This role combines hands-on processing work with process improvement, problem solving, and cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Sales, and Supply Chain. This position is ideal for someone with deep experience in accounts payable and strong exposure to customer billing, cash application, and resolving discrepancies in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of progressive experience in accounting operations roles with strong focus on accounts payable and exposure to customer billing and cash application.
- Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or similar product-based environment strongly preferred.
- Solid understanding of GAAP basics as they relate to transactional accounting, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.) and strong Excel skills.
- Proven track record of improving processes, implementing controls, and resolving complex account discrepancies.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and sense of ownership over assigned areas.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional partners and external stakeholders (customers and vendors).
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day vendor invoice processing, three-way matching, and payment runs, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies.
- Oversee customer invoicing and related documentation, working closely with Sales and Operations to ensure clean, on-time billing and resolution of discrepancies.
- Monitor outstanding balances, research and resolve issues (pricing, quantity, documentation), and coordinate with internal stakeholders to keep the receivable portfolio healthy.
- Prepare and review account reconciliations related to key balance sheet accounts (e.g., trade payables, customer balances, accrued liabilities).
- Support monthly close activities, including accruals, journal entries, and variance analysis for assigned areas.
- Participate in cash management activities such as payment scheduling, cash forecasting inputs, and bank reconciliation support.
- Identify and drive improvements in AP and billing workflows, controls, and documentation to support scale and audit readiness.
- Serve as a subject-matter resource to the Finance team and business partners on vendor terms, customer billing requirements, and transactional accounting questions.
- Assist with audits (internal and external) by providing schedules, supporting documentation, and process explanations for your areas.
