As the organization scales, the Accounting Department requires elevated leadership capacity to ensure financial operations keep pace with this growth — maintaining accuracy, compliance, and integrity across an increasingly complex multi-entity environment. The Senior Accounting Manager is a critical leadership hire who will work directly alongside the Controller to manage the full scope of accounting operations. This role is accountable for the multi-entity month-end close process, systems integration support during and after M&A activity, audit readiness, regulatory and tax compliance, and financial due diligence support. In addition, Finance at Health Admins plays a hands-on operating role — managing billing and collections processes, overseeing escrow accounts, handling exception management, and maintaining the accounting records for our Third-Party Administration (TPA) customers. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role that requires a credentialed accounting professional with a public accounting pedigree, deep technical knowledge, and the leadership presence to manage a team and a growing set of responsibilities in a fast-moving, acquisition-driven company.

  • Minimum 10+ years of total accounting experience, including public accounting tenure plus post-public industry experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-entity month-end close processes across multiple legal entities.
  • Hands-on experience supporting financial due diligence or post-acquisition accounting integration in an M&A-active environment.
  • Experience owning or coordinating external audit processes — workpaper preparation, auditor liaison, PBC schedule management.
  • Demonstrated experience with tax compliance coordination across multiple entities and/or multiple state jurisdictions.
  • Experience in financial operations roles that include billing, collections, escrow management, or accounts receivable at scale.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency; experience with ERP systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or equivalent).
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required); graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills — able to present complex accounting issues clearly to non-accounting stakeholders and executive leadership.
