About The Position

This role is primarily responsible for assisting in the development and execution of key accounting processes within the Finance Department, supporting both US and international businesses. The Senior Accountant will manage critical financial close processes, ensure accurate reporting, and maintain detailed financial records.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or another business-related field
  • 5+ years of general ledger accounting experience
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
  • Outstanding analytical, quantitative, and social skills.
  • Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and creatively solve challenges.
  • Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment.
  • Ability to work within a multi-national corporate environment with overseas subsidiaries.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English. Excellent written and verbal communications skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Prepare, reconcile, and post journal entries and account reconciliations in accordance with accounting policies and procedures.
  • Calculate, prepare, and process commission payments and payroll-related uploads with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare and file sales tax reports and ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations.
  • Maintain and monitor research and development (R&D) project tracking, reporting, and related financial records.
  • Process and reconcile intercompany transactions and billings.
  • Create, maintain, and update documentation for accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Assist in the preparation and consolidation of financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Complete all required training as outlined in standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and company policies.
  • Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.
