As a Senior Accountant within the Group Accounting team at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting for a global leader in serving science. Working closely with finance teams and business partners across the organization, you will support the monthly close process, maintain strong internal controls, and contribute to the delivery of timely and accurate financial information. In this role, you will prepare and review journal entries, perform account reconciliations and fluctuation analyses, and support financial reporting activities in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SOX requirements. You will serve as a subject matter expert for capital expenditure (CAPEX) and fixed asset accounting, partnering with stakeholders to review investments and ensure proper accounting treatment. Additionally, you will support audit activities, contribute to process improvement initiatives, and assist with accounting integration activities related to acquisitions and organizational changes.
