Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA required
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting and/or corporate accounting
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial close, reconciliations, and internal controls
  • ERP experience (Oracle, SAP, or similar)
  • Advanced Excel skills required

Nice To Haves

  • Public accounting or public-company accounting experience preferred
  • Big 4 experience a plus
  • Manufacturing, cost accounting, or inventory accounting experience preferred
  • Alteryx or automation tools a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize and perform in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with accuracy and timeliness
  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
  • Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and provide meaningful insights
  • Support internal and external financial reporting requirements
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls in a SOX-compliant environment
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Assist with technical accounting and reporting initiatives, including SEC-related support as applicable
  • Support standard costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysis
  • Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to understand cost drivers, improve forecasting, and enhance margins
  • Provide financial insight that drives efficiency and performance
  • Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and improve accounting processes
  • Utilize ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or similar) and advanced Excel tools
  • Help build scalable systems and processes to support company growth
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and leadership teams
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis
  • Contribute to special projects and continuous improvement initiatives
