About The Position

The Senior Accountant provides advanced professional accounting support to the Chief Financial Officer and plays a key role in maintaining the County’s financial integrity. This position manages complex accounting processes, ensures compliance with County, State, and Federal requirements, oversees workflow within the Finance team, and prepares accurate and timely financial reports.

Requirements

  • Must possess a valid Colorado driver’s license.
  • Must complete ICS 100 and ICS 700 within the first year of employment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business/public administration, or related field
  • Five years of progressively responsible governmental accounting or finance experience
  • Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, IF functions) required.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities
