As a Senior Accountant, you will oversee complex accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial data across the organization. Lead key processes such as month‑end close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and variance analysis while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and strengthen internal controls. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve issues, support audits, and enhance financial processes. Analyze financial trends to support management decision‑making and operational planning. Contribute to the development of standardized procedures that promote consistency and high‑quality service delivery. This role reports to the accounting manager. This is a hybrid position located in Tampa, FL. Candidates are eligible for a hybrid work schedule after a probationary period.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent. (Required)
  • 4-6 years of experience in month end close process. (Required)
  • Proven accounting experience at the Senior level or higher. (Required)
  • Advanced Excel skills, including complex formula creation. (Required)
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to improve processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to present and explain analyses effectively.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience entering journal entries and analyzing financial statements.
  • Provide clear and accurate reconciliations.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and timeliness while working independently.
  • Perform efficiently in a rapidly changing, deadline‑driven environment.
  • Demonstrates strong skill in developing clear, effective standard operating procedures that can be easily followed by team members and cross‑functional partners.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of technological implementation. (Preferred)
  • Familiarity with NetSuite. (Preferred)
  • Background in software implementation. (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee complex accounting functions within a shared services environment, ensuring accuracy, standardization, and adherence to GAAP and organizational policies.
  • Drive financial analysis to support strategic decisions and optimize cross‑functional performance.
  • Lead the preparation and review of financial statements, reconciliations, and period‑end close activities with a strong focus on efficiency and scalability
  • Collaborates with process owners to streamline workflows, enhance internal controls, and improve processes across the organization.
