About The Position

Paul Fredrick is seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our team. This role will be responsible for owning key areas of the month-end close, preparing reconciliations, assisting with audit & tax deliverables and supporting initiatives around finance transformation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable operating in an environment with evolving priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2–4 years of accounting experience (1-2 years public accounting preferred)
  • Strong understanding of GAAP
  • Experience with month-end close and reconciliations
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with e-commerce, retail or partnership accounting
  • Experience working with external auditors and tax advisors
  • Experience in a small to mid-size company or high-growth environment
  • Experience managing or operating modern accounting/finance technology, including but not limited to; Quickbooks Online (or comparable), close management software, AP/Billpay solutions, FP&A solutions, AI-driven solutions
  • CPA or CPA candidate

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute portions of the monthly and yearly close process
  • Prepare and review account reconciliations relating to accounts receivable, debt, accruals, and others
  • Assist with revenue/expense recognition and variance analysis
  • Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation
  • Support annual audit and interim review requests
  • Assist with preparation of financial packages for investors and lender
  • Coordinate with tax advisors to support estimates, extensions, and return preparation
  • Assist in developing and improving accounting processes and internal controls
  • Support active technology migrations related to overall finance transformation initiatives
  • Support ad hoc financial analysis and special projects, including active technology migrations related to overall finance transformation
