About The Position

OnMed is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. This role is crucial for providing strategic financial insights and supporting informed decision-making. The Senior Accountant will leverage expertise across accounting, payroll, budgeting, and financial analysis to contribute to financial plans, forecasts, and budgets. Responsibilities include in-depth financial analyses, preparing accurate reports, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize financial performance. Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and financial reporting.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Experience with payroll processing software (preferably ADP Workforce Now) and familiarity with payroll tax regulations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software applications (e.g., ERP systems, budgeting software).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 5 years of relevant work experience in accounting, financial planning and analysis, and payroll processing.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive financial analyses, including variance analysis, profitability analysis, and forecasting to support strategic decision-making.
  • Generate timely and accurate financial reports for management review, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Interpret financial data and provide actionable recommendations to improve financial performance and mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop annual operating budgets and long-term financial forecasts.
  • Monitor budget performance, analyze variances against actual results, and identify key trends and drivers.
  • Assist in conducting sensitivity analysis and scenario modeling to assess the potential impact of business decisions on financial outcomes.
  • Support the development and execution of strategic financial plans aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities, conduct ROI analysis, and provide strategic insights to support business growth initiatives.
  • Recommend process improvements and prevalent practices in financial planning and analysis to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Own and manage the month-end close process, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements to ensure accuracy and timeliness in accordance with close deadlines.
  • Manage payroll processing activities, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees and consultants/independent contractors in compliance with regulatory requirements and Company policies.
  • Maintain payroll records, reconcile payroll accounts, and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources and finance teams to address payroll-related inquiries and provide support as needed.
  • Administer sales incentive plans (SIPs) and commission programs, including calculating payouts, maintaining plan documentation, and ensuring timely and accurate distribution in alignment with plan terms.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting principles, and internal policies and procedures.
  • Assess financial risks and internal controls, proposing enhancements to mitigate risks and strengthen internal controls.
  • Provide support during internal and external audits, including preparing documentation, addressing auditor inquiries, and implementing audit recommendations.
  • Ensure accurate calculation and remittance of federal, state, and local payroll taxes, including managing multi-state payroll tax registrations and staying current on changing state tax requirements.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, HR, Legal, and the senior leadership team, to support business initiatives and resolve financial-related issues.
  • Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Chief Financial Officer at their discretion from time to time.
