Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Demonstrated expertise in cost accounting and inventory management
  • Experience working with ERP systems, with SAP preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or CMA preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for manufacturing operations
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
  • Support cost accounting, including standard costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis (labor, materials, overhead)
  • Partner closely with plant operations to analyze production performance and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Monitor inventory transactions, cycle counts, and ensure accurate reporting of raw materials and finished goods
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and corporate policies
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
  • Support internal and external audits, including SOX compliance (if applicable)
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives within accounting workflows
  • Provide financial insights to support operational and strategic decision-making
  • All other duties as assigned
