About The Position

The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, with a strong focus on accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management. This role ensures accurate and timely financial processes, supports financial reporting, and maintains compliance.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting
  • Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and payroll systems (ADP preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in accounting or finance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing day-to-day accounting operations (AP/AR, reconciliations, payroll)
  • Experience in a small to mid-sized business environment
  • Exposure to cash flow management and financial reporting
  • CPA or CMA preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger activity, journal entries, and account reconciliations
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely vendor payments and customer collections
  • Monitor daily cash balances and track inflows and outflows
  • Maintain accurate financial records and proper documentation of all transactions
  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes
  • Prepare and assist with financial reports, including balance sheet and income statement
  • Process payroll and support commission calculations for employees and contractors
  • Partner with HR to ensure payroll data accuracy and proper tax filings
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, payroll regulations, and tax requirements
  • Identify and support improvements to accounting processes and internal controls
  • Coordinate with external partners, including accountants, auditors, and payroll providers
