We’re looking for an Senior Accountant to join our growing Finance team in Charlotte, NC and play a meaningful role in financial planning, analysis, decision support, and strategy execution. JOB SUMMARY The Senior Accountant is responsible for performing advanced-level general accounting functions and providing support to the Finance Leadership Team (CFO, VP Finance/Controller, and Director of Accounting). This role includes preparing and reviewing journal entries, overseeing account reconciliations, and analyzing financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness. The Senior Accountant is also expected to identify and resolve discrepancies, support the month-end close process, and contribute to process improvements and adherence to internal controls. The Senior Accountant must demonstrate strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organizational skills, along with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Additionally, this role may provide guidance and review support for less experienced team members. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily. Requirements

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP.
  • Strong analytical skills and independent thinking.
  • Excellent listening and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work cohesely across multiple departments.
  • Experience with ERP platforms.

Nice To Haves

  • Workday experience a plus.
  • CPA not required but a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring reconciling items are clearly documented, investigated, and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Help coordinate audit support activities, serving as a contact for auditors and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of requested documentation.
  • Review and monitor T&E and corporate credit card activity, ensuring compliance with company policies and proper accounting treatment.
  • Review payroll entries for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely recording in the general ledger.
  • Manage and review prepaid expenses and accruals, including analysis, proper documentation, and adherence to accounting policies.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities, enhance documentation, and strengthen internal controls across accounting functions.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff accountants, including reviewing work and assisting with technical accounting questions.
  • Perform other accounting, financial, or operational responsibilities as assigned.
