The Senior Accountant reports to the Director of Accounting and is responsible for supporting departmental activities with a focus on maintaining accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP and applicable ASC guidance. This role includes responsibility for general ledger activity, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial reporting, as well as budgeting and forecasting support. The Senior Accountant also plays a key role in grant accounting, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and private funding requirements. This includes tracking grant expenditures, preparing financial reports, and ensuring costs are allowable, allocable, and properly documented. The ideal candidate can communicate financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial audiences and demonstrates strong analytical and organizational skills.
