Senior Accountant - Tax Compliance
About The Position
The Senior Accountant, based hybrid out of Manhattan, Kansas, will report directly to the Manager of International Accounting. The Senior Accountant will ensure the financial integrity of the financial statements related to intercompany transactions including transfer pricing. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (Accounting/Finance or related) with 5-7 years of related progressive experience in accounting and finance roles
- Ability to present and explain complex technical topics, issues and alternative solutions to others
- Familiarization with SharePoint and other web based documentation
- Possess strong leadership skills; Able to develop and maintain positive relationships across all levels within the organization
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and time management skills
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the US.
Nice To Haves
- CPA or CPA candidate eligible preferred
- Working knowledge of NetSuite ERP system is strongly preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Assist in acquisitions integrations from an international accounting perspective
- Review foreign bank statements and record foreign entity cash transactions
- Prepare all monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for foreign entities
- Assist with optimization of consolidation and reporting procedures including reducing the time to close and report results
- Work closely with the external audit and tax teams, including the compilation and preparation of regulatory and tax compliance including supporting schedules, detailed testwork, and financial reports
- Ensure that intercompany transactions are consistent with intercompany agreements and follow transfer pricing policies
- Assist with implementation and testing of systems, procedures and controls
- Lead projects as needed
- Other duties as assigned by leadership
