About The Position
A respected CPA firm in Farmington Hills, Michigan is seeking a Tax Professional with 2–4 years of public accounting experience to join its collaborative team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working directly on a variety of tax engagements while gaining exposure to financial statement preparation and client service. This is an in-office position located in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Remote work is not available.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- 2–4 years of recent public accounting experience
- Experience preparing and/or reviewing tax returns in a CPA firm environment
- Stable career progression with a public accounting firm
Nice To Haves
- CPA strongly preferred
- Experience with CCH Axcess or CCH ProSystem software strongly preferred
- Financial statement compilation and review experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review a variety of tax returns, including: Individual (1040), Partnership (1065), S Corporation (1120S), Corporation (1120), Nonprofit (990), Fiduciary (1041)
- Assist with compilation and review financial statement engagements
- Work closely with experienced CPAs and firm leadership
- Provide exceptional client service to closely held businesses and individuals
- Build technical and professional skills in a supportive office environment
