About The Position

Growve is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Accountant – General Ledger to join our growing finance team. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in our Salt Lake City, Utah office. This role is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial records, preparing journal entries, performing balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting the monthly and annual close process. The Senior Accountant will work closely with the broader accounting and finance teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and compliance with internal controls and U.S. GAAP. This position reports to the Controller and collaborates regularly with members of accounting, finance, and other cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • 2-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general accounting principles.
  • Understanding of international VAT and GST reporting concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage muli8tple priorities and meet deadlines while maintaining a high-level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience working with ERP systems preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting financial statement audits is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review journal entries to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and U.S. GAAP.
  • Prepare and maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts, investigate reconciling items, and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Own assigned areas of the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Analyze account activity and investigate variances between actual results, accruals, and forecasts.
  • Assist in preparation of financial schedules and documentation required for internal and external audits.
  • Provide financial data and ad-hoc reports to management to support decision-making.
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls and company accounting policies.
  • Support preparation of sales tax and international GST/VAT tax filings.
  • Assist with accounting related to inventory, manufacturing costs, and inventory reconciliations as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes and strengthen financial reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, documentation, and internal controls to support a scalable financial close process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
