Requirements

  • Proven experience managing large accounts with significant revenue responsibility in mining or related industries.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mining equipment, materials, and technologies specifically pumps.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans and achieve or exceed targets.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in mentoring or leadership roles within sales teams.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales pipeline management.
  • Knowledge of aftermarket parts and service sales in mining or industrial sectors.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including to remote locations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage key accounts generating $10M+ in annual revenue by developing and maintaining strong relationships with senior management and key decision makers.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive new equipment and aftermarket sales within Oil Sands, Hard Rock Mining, and Comminution sectors.
  • Apply an enhanced technical understanding of Weir’s product portfolio including design, installation, operation, and maintenance to support customer needs and exceed sales targets.
  • Work closely with Field Engineers, Product Managers, Engineering, and Sales teams to convert every revenue opportunity and provide technical and aftermarket support.
  • Create and execute comprehensive business plans and account reviews covering all market segments, product technologies, services, and competitor activities.
  • Conduct professional sales presentations to all levels within customer organizations to secure new business and strengthen partnerships.
  • Review and actively participate in commercial contract negotiations to ensure favorable terms and compliance.
  • Serve as a leader and mentor within the Sales Team, supporting Account Managers and Inside Sales personnel to foster team growth and development.
  • Consistently use CRM applications to manage sales opportunities and track progress through all stages.
  • Regular travel is expected, including visits to remote sites and training sessions across Canada, USA, and globally.
